Achmed The Dead Terrorist

achmed the daed terrorist is one of those really funny comedy characters that makes you enjoy watching your TV set time and time again. I mean what is really any more funny than a ventriloquists dummy who wants to constantly kill you?

Silence, I keel you!

Hmm.. I really don't see how Achmed could achieve this feat considering he is nothing but a ventriloquists dummy who insists he is alive.

There is the time Jeff asks Achmed about his accidental self bombing. Achmed says that it all happened due to a premature detonation and that he has only been inflicted with a mere flesh wound.

Take a look at the latest stuff from the Jeff Dunham show, aired on the comedy Central TV network for now, until they cancel it next year sadly. Many fans have said this is a huge mistake as Achmed and Jeff have literally gone on to be one of the most popular comedy acts ever.

So, for now, Achmed is simply carrying on entertaining people all around the world with his hilarious quips and routines, as well as continuing to develop new content all of the time alongside Jeff and his other funny characters we enjoy watching like Walter and Jose the Jalapeno pepper.. lol!

His sales continue to do extremely well, and I for one will continue to recommend him and his humor for as long as he keeps on keeping on.

In your opinion, what is the one resounding thing that really makes you laugh about Achmed the terrorist?

Could it be the fact that he approaches a very touchy subject (terrorist) in a great neutral way?

Maybe it's the fact that Achmed is deliberately very dumb and stupid and his goofy attitude is so funny. - 29848

Notable Television Shows From The Television Winter Season

By Darryl Fremont

There's no better time to watch TV than when it's cold outside. Unfortunately, good winter programming can be a little harder to find than it is during the other seasons of the year. There are still some great shows out there though.

It's out there, but you simply have to dig a little deeper for it. Through my research, I stumbled onto a couple of TV shows that haven't exactly caught on yet, even though the shows themselves are highly enjoyable.

Here are a few of the better shows I've encountered during the 2010 winter TV season so far. I'd recommend watching any of these.

ABC has a great comedy series entering its second season in Better Off Ted. If you're unfamiliar with this series, the best way to sum it up is by comparing it to The Office. The characters on this show are great, and you'll likely compare some of them to people at your own workplace.

The humor is really smart, and many compare it to the writing style of Arrested Development. If you're in the mood for a smart comedy, tune into this show.

Another great show worth watching is Men of a Certain Age, which is broadcast on TNT. This show stars Ray Romano and a few other middle aged male actors and it chronicles the life of a 40 something and the changes that occur during this stage of our lives.

Romano is back, seeking to find success in a second series, and he may well do that here. This show pulls you in after an episode or two.

Lastly, these shows are more well known at this point, but both Jersey Shore and The Real World on MTV provide an entertaining dose of reality drama if you get a kick out of this genre. You'll never know what happens next with each crew, as every week is full of unexpected action. - 29848

Achmed The Dead Terrorist - Funnier Than Christmas Jokes

By Shaun Baird

Many comedy outfits come and go. They have a good year or two and the tend to fizzle out to just doing second rate comedy routines over time with the occasional bit of news about them. Jeff Dunham's Achmed the Dead Terrorist is still one of the funniest things you will ever come across and I predict they will still be incredibly funny in another 5 to 10 years.

Why do I say this?

Well for a start, the duo are inspiring, creating new content all the time and have managed to achieve success from 2003, putting them right at the top of the comedy outfits rich list.

Since 2003 Achmed has carved out a career that has placed him an all time favorite comedy legend. Absolutely true - why not see for yourself.

Achmed is now offered in many shapes and guises from mobile phone ringtones that are advertised on the TV to wallpapers, talking dolls, DVD box sets and mp3 files.

I don't see any reason whatsoever why Achmed cannot go on entertaining for another 5-10 years as long as he continus to produce unique content that will make you laugh. Better hold onto your seat!

His DVD and merchandise sales recently grossed $5 million so that goes some way to show how immensely popular he still is.

Besides his amazing comedy stuff done to date he is still producing some fantastically funny new stuff every day. He has got a new series of the Jeff Dunham show out on the comedy central channel which is fantastic.

So for an unforgettable laughter filled evening or afternoon I strongly suggest that you look towards Achmed the dead terrorist and Jeff Dunham as your next source of a great laugh.

Laugh until your sides hurt when you watch the comedy legend that is Achmed the Dead Terrorist - he will have you laughing your socks off day in day out. - 29848

10 of the Funniest Sitcoms in History

By Wayne Torres

Three's Company: This show started in the 1970s and was a surprise hit. A guy pretending to be gay and living with 2 women was very provocative back then. Maybe even taboo to many during that era.

Nine. The Dick Van Dyke Show. Just about everybody on this show was hilarious. An absolute classic.

Eight. Arrested Development. Ron Howard was this cable tv show's creator. Based on the daily lives of the very funny Bluth family who lost their family business due to corruption..

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Hilarious show with very entertaining characters and interesting stories. The plotlines of this show are much deeper than most comedies out there.

I Love Lucy. This very funny show has been showing on the air since 1951. Obviously, re-runs but still funny even in today's standards. This show has many die-hard fans proven by the I Love Lucy conventions every year.

Curb Your Enthusiasm. If profane language offends you, do not watch this show. Otherwise, very entertaining sitcom from the creator of Seinfeld. Talk about successful.

Four. The Simpsons. Yes, it's a cartoon. But a cartoon that has been making us all laugh for 20 odd years.

Three. All In The Family. Not slap stick, laughing and rolling out of your chair funny, but funny just the same and incredibly ground breaking.

Seinfeld. Ensured to become a classic, this television show was hot right out of the gates all the way until the final episode where the final line of the show just happened to be the very first line on the very first episode; these details are what made this show so funny.

1. The Honeymooners. Four actors was all it took to make this an absolute classic for comedy. Very simple storyline yet hilariously acted and perfectly timed humor. - 29848

Laugh Out Loud With Achmed The Terrorist, And Jeff Dunham

By Shaun Baird

You have to give credit for those rare moments when some incredibly comical people and times cross through your life.

Achmed the dead terrorist (By Jeff Dunham) is literally one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life. I must have viewed every one of his videos on the net.

One of the funniest characters to ever grace 2008,2009,2010 and beyond is Achmed the death terrorist, as some people prefer to call him. Having been made personally by Jeff Dunham, is is a skeletal suicide bomber who has failed miserably.

The most hilarious thing is that Achmed the terrorist if truth be told doesn't know that he is dead!

As part of the clowning routine, Achmed will firstly grace you with a fixed stare, his large eyes piercing yours, shouting out "Silence! I Kill you" if you utter any noise(or shrieks of laughter!), and has various other catchphrases and songs.

Duie to the popularity of this superstar, Achmed the terrorist and Jeff Dunham release a Christmas song called Jingle Bombs.

Amongst the group of comedy puppets from Jeff you can also come across characters such as Walter, Sweet Daddy Dee, Bubba J, Melvin the Superhero guy and Jose the Jalapeno Pepper.

Achmed's outspoken views have landed him in a bit of hot water, causing a few sensational headlines.

Usually, Jeff Dunhams characters are widely accepted and much-loved wherever they go, but Achmed's outspoken views have landed him in hot water with the South African Advertising Authority who basically didn't appreciate some of his religious comments.

If by now you really like the sound of Achmed the terrorist then you should not look further, because he isn't going anywhere. If you are in need of a heavy dose of comedy then consider Jeff Dunham's Achmed the dead terrorist to help you through the next few hours.

Since his new found reputation there have been a whole host of aftermarket things you can buy, from an achmed the dead terrorist mp3(several of them in fact), an achmed cell phone tone, and plenty of different versions of an achmed the dead terrorist wallpaper. There was even an achmed the dead terrorist christmas special - talk about popular!

Achmed was recently immortalised into a brilliant talking doll, installed with many of his best one liners and catchphrases. - 29848

Jeff Dunham Tickets: Hysterical Animated Comedy

By Matt Ryan

Jeff Dunham - like many other comedians - will have you rolling on the floor with laughter. Jeff; however, does have a bit of a different niche. He uses puppets in his comedy acts; he can plead innocent to any crude remarks, as it is usually the puppet making them. His tours sell out quickly forcing management to add additional appearances. Jeff is performing many live shows, has sold millions of DVDs, and has recently reached the multi-million sales mark.

Jeff is from Dallas, Texas; like many other comics, began his career alone, as a standup comic. Dunham's wife, and three kids, is now a great source of support for Dunham and his career.

In'80's, when he and his puppets began to be noticed, he began performing at comedy clubs along with popular TV shows like the Late Show with David Letterman, Johnny Carson, Star Search, and even Comedy Central Presents.

Each performance Jeff begins with slight comedy, and at the right moment, pulls one of his puppets, from his suitcase, for the real show. Some of his most infamous characters are Walter, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Jose Jalapeno, and Sweet Daddy D.

Each puppet has its own unique personality, so much so, that audiences tend to forget that Jeff is in control of every movement and word. One of Jeff's creations, whom has warmed the hearts of many, is Walter. Walter is a grumpy old man who has been married for 48 years. This character is extremely opinionated, to say the least, about society and how the world is today. He has no qualms about revealing his bitterness, about his wife, the audience, and the entire world; to everyone he performs in front of.

Another crowd pleaser is Achmed the Dead Terrorist. While Jeff - and his puppets - are normally welcomed with open arms, this particular character has been banned by the South African Advertising Standards Authority due to comments made against certain religions. Creatively, Achmed is the skeletal remains of a suicide bomber, and is known for his hideous screams of "I KILL YOU" and for his joyous rendition of "Jingle-Bombs".

He was at home when he purchased one of his latest costumes, for one of his most recent characters - Melvin the Superhero. This new character rang in, not only the fans, but the sales as well. Since Melvin's first appearance, Dunham has now appeared in films such as "Arguing with Myself", "Spark of Insanity", and even of his own "Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas".

Jeff, along with his devious side, has continued along the path of making people laugh through the use of vile, animated characters. Every audiences sits, in anticipation, waiting to see who is in the suitcase. Regardless of who it is, you are still in for quite a treat. His approach to comedy is quickly making its way around; the more people hear of his performances, the higher the ticket sales! If you ever have the opportunity to see Jeff Dunham, whether live or on TV, take the chance. You will never experience a laugh quite like this one. - 29848
